At the weekend, the Trattnachtaler recorded a clear home win against the defending champions Union Tigers Vöcklabruck as well as against the fistballers from Kremsmünster – the team of coach Hubert Schatzl won twice clearly with 3:0. “Thanks to our good defensive performance, we forced our opponents to put even more pressure on them,” said Schatzl after the game, who was very satisfied with his team’s performance.
The fistball players from UFG Sparkasse Grieskirchen/Pötting played the first game of the round against the defending champions from Vöcklabruck, who are often seen as favorites. After a long injury break, Lukas Eidenhammer returned to the field in the starting five and showed a good comeback right from the start. The players around the coaching duo Hubert Schatzl and Markus Kraft once again gave the home crowd an impressive team spirit this season and in the end won deservedly and clearly in three sets: 11:5, 11:3, 13:11.
Final-3 as the next goal
In the second game against Kremsmünster, Grieskirchen also benefited from the opponent’s many mistakes and their own good attacking performance. In the end it was 11:4, 11:9 and 11:9. In the table, Grieskirchen is in second place, which increases the chances of qualifying for the final 3 – the declared goal of the season.
