The 17-year-old offered high-priced mobile phones for sale on various internet platforms under an alias. He cashed in with this scam twelve times, but a mobile phone was never delivered. The teenager also forged his passport and was thus able to obtain a loan of several thousand euros from an Austrian bank on the Internet, although the attempt was made at a further 24,000 euros. But that wasn’t enough for the Linzer. He opened a total of five different current accounts on the Internet at three other banks, making full use of the account limit in each case. The total damage amounts to around 50,000 euros. The 17-year-old financed most of his luxury travel with the money.
The boy, who confessed to the police questioning, was reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
