On Thursday around 4:15 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on Wiener Straße B 1 in the municipality of Neukirchen bei Lambach. A 60-year-old from Wels-Land steered his truck and trailer on the B1 from Schwanenstadt towards Lambach. At kilometer 228 on the road, two car drivers overtook him. A 40-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district overtook first, followed by a 75-year-old from the Wels-Land district.
The 75-year-old collided with an oncoming 52-year-old from the Wels-Land district while overtaking, causing her car to be thrown into the adjacent field. Behind the 52-year-old, a 26-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district steered her car and collided head-on with the oncoming car of the 75-year-old. All 3 received first aid from the Red Cross, emergency medical team and “Christophorus Europa 3” and were taken to the hospital with injuries.
The B1 was closed for about 1.5 hours for the accident investigation and clean-up work.
