Sofia Goggia celebrated a home win on the downhill in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The Italian won 0.13 seconds ahead of Slovenian Ilka Stuhec and 0.36 ahead of Germany’s Kira Weidle.
With Tamara Tippler (6th / +0.63) and Stephanie Venier (10th / +0.85), two Austrians with high starting numbers (28 and 29 respectively) made it into the top ten.
Nina Ortlieb (14th), Ramona Siebenhofer (16th) and Cornelia Hütter (17th) also finished in the top 20. Another descent will follow on Saturday (10 a.m.).
