At the training camp in Belek, SV Guntamatic Ried had their first test match on the program after two days of intensive training. The Innviertler met the Serbian first division club FK Novi Pazar. The game ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Serbs had the first chance of the game with a free kick from 25 meters away, but that didn’t pose a problem for Ried goalie Wendlinger. The Rieder found it difficult to create scoring chances in the early stages. However, the defense was good and the sixth-placed team in the Serbian league didn’t have any clear chances.
It was therefore a game with few highlights in the first half. In the 30th minute Michael Martin was able to assert himself on the left and bring the ball dangerously into the middle, but Stefan Nutz’s shot was cleared by Novi Pazar goalkeeper Kljajic. The Black-Greens came into play better and had the next goal chance 5 minutes later after a corner. Markus Lackner headed the ball, but Kljajic was able to catch it.
The Serbs had their first chance in the second half, but Kurdic headed just wide of the Ried goal after a corner kick. In the 57th minute, Denizcan Cosgun had Rieder’s first chance of the second half, but his shot from the edge of the penalty area was saved. After a cross from the right, the ball came back to Cosgun in the 66th minute, whose shot went over the goal from the 16th. After 75 minutes, SVR was awarded a free kick right on the edge of the penalty area after a foul on Christoph Monschein. Tin Plavotic executed dangerously, but the Pazar goalkeeper was able to save. Newcomer Roko Jurisic, who played his first game in the Ried jersey, had the last chance in the game from an acute angle, but it ended in a goalless draw.
“Was a successful test”
Despite the zero number, Ried coach Christian Heinle was satisfied, as he revealed in the OÖN interview: “It was a good test. It was important to me that you see progress in aggressiveness when we trigger pressing and counter-pressing. That’s why it was Performance very successful.”

Ried’s coach was also happy about Roko Jurisic’s first appearance in the Ried jersey. The Croatian returned to team training yesterday after suffering from adductor problems. Heinle: “Roko showed in 30 minutes today that he will do us good.”
Captain Marcel Ziegl is also on his way back – even though he hasn’t played yet today: “Marcel is already doing part of the training again. It looks good that he’ll be able to get back into full action soon. Ideally, he can already do it on Monday Play along for a few minutes in the final test.” Midfield colleague Nikola Stosic, who can also take part in parts of the training sessions again after his cruciate ligament injury, is “right on schedule.”
