On Wednesday and Thursday, football was only a secondary topic in the Oberbank Business Club of SV Guntamatic Ried. It was primarily about donating blood to enable vital treatments and operations.
A total of 162 blood units were collected over the two days. It was a first for 17 blood donors. Unfortunately, 23 potential blood donors had to be turned away – among other things because they had only recently recovered from viral diseases.
What is certain is that the joint campaign by the Red Cross, SV Guntamatic Ried and the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten will be continued at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024 with the 15th edition.
