After intensive days of training, including a test match (note: 0-0 on Friday against Novi Pazar), Bundesliga soccer club SV Guntamatic Ried focused on regeneration this Saturday at the training camp in Belek, Turkey. “We’ve been working very hard lately, today we had to regenerate,” says Ried trainer Christian Heinle.
In the morning there was easy training, in the afternoon the Vikings’ kickers were free. While some took advantage of the spa facilities at the five-star Titanic Deluxe hotel, others paid a visit to the Land of Legends, an amusement park in the immediate vicinity.
Ried’s support team also had a good time: the entire staff around head coach Heinle, the medical staff, Ried’s kit manager and sports director Thomas Reicheltshammer spent an evening together in a fish restaurant.
Tomorrow, Sunday, it’s back to the training ground. Before the Upper Austrian convoy takes off for home again on Tuesday, the final test against the Slovenian first division club NS Mura will take place on Monday. Heinle: “I attach great importance to this. The start of spring is getting closer and closer and I want to see that we have already improved on those things that we didn’t do so well in the first test.”
