The 42-year-old also banged the drum for the cooperative, which “DieWein” has been for a few months. He is aiming for around 200 new members in the next year.
In the cooperative he sees “a casual” model to be able to grow up. The banker, who, as reported by OÖN, has become a wine merchant and, as managing director of an operating company, will lease the Bergschlössl from March this year, has dedicated himself to the subject of wine for five years. What began in a garage is now on display and will also appear in the Bergschlössl in the future in addition to the Imkerhof.
Specializing in small Austrian winegrowers, an online trade is almost ready to go. Siebermair wants to get started in the next few weeks and send the “DieWein” offer throughout Austria. A service that is also offered in the restaurant in the old town: “With every wine, the customer gets a story about the wine.” Why is there wine? What’s special about it? The “late-born young entrepreneur” thus solves a problem, according to which people are very happy to talk about wine, but do not need to know or research it. “We take that away from them, and it’s worked well so far,” he says.
Being a member of the “DieWein” cooperative means six wine tastings a year, a trip to a winemaker, and of course the wine is cheaper. It costs 175 euros, and if the wine lover has his way, the winegrowers should soon no longer be in the majority.
