Roland K. is dead. As of today, Friday, the tragic missing person case involving the 42-year-old father from Natternbach (Grieskirchen district) has finally been clarified. During the autopsy, K. was clearly identified using a DNA test.
He fell into the Danube on December 10, probably around 3:47 a.m., after a local tour in Linz. The father of two children was missing for 47 days. On Wednesday, a cyclist discovered his body near the Steyregger Bridge, as reported.
The cause of death could no longer be clearly determined by the forensic medicine, but Roland K. may have drowned. The autopsy clearly ruled out third-party negligence.
