The non-commissioned officers asked to dance and hundreds of guests flocked to the Army Non-Commissioned Officers Academy (HUAk) in Enns on Friday evening. Klaus Klingenschmid, Colonel of the General Staff Service and Commander of the Cadre Forge, had to apologize to both Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner (VP) and the Director of Training, Lieutenant General Erich Csitkovits, who attended the military academy ball in Wiener Neustadt, which was taking place at the same time. However, both agreed to take part in the graduation ceremony for the new sergeants on February 24 in Enns.

At the head of the guests, Klingenschmid was able to have the Mayor of Enns, Christian Deleja-Hotko (SP), the Deputy Mayor, Rudolf Höfler (VP), Members of Parliament Klaus Fürlinger (VP) on behalf of Governor Thomas Stelzer, Colonel Gerhard Oberreiter on behalf of the Military Commander, his predecessor as HUAK boss and current president of the “Austrian Peacekeepers”, Major General Nikolaus Egger, the president of Upper Austria. NCO, Friedrich Steiner, and the commander of Dragoon Regiment No.7, Colonel Johann Eckhardt von Eckenfeld.

The Big Band of the Military Music of Upper Austria was responsible for the musical highlights of the ball. Young and old also got their money’s worth in the “Skihütte”, a wine tavern, the sparkling wine bar and the oldie bar.

This time, an auction in favor of the HUAk support association functioned as a “midnight interlude”. Above all, there was great interest in an overnight stay in the “Pixel” hotel in the Enns town tower and in two jewelry workshops.
