The booth of the “Marktbrauerei – Linzer Biermanufaktur” was not only a popular meeting place for die-hard beer lovers at the Südbahnhofmarkt. Now this is de facto history, the market brewery, which celebrated its opening in 2017, is about to close.
The two managing directors, Sandra Buchrucker and David Schobesberger, announced this today on their homepage and their Facebook page, and a notice in the shop also provides information about the decision to close. As for many other companies, 2022 was an extremely difficult economic year with sharply declining sales and sharply rising costs at the same time. However, there is no sign of an upswing in the near future.
“Therefore it is time for changes: With a heavy heart we have decided to close our booth at the Südbahnhofmarkt. We want to go back to the beginnings and brew beer more creatively and serve our beer at various events. More on that to follow.” it further.
The next “weather-wise nice Saturday” will be unlocked again, to sell and say goodbye. Further information on this will also be announced.
