The car started moving on its own on a sloping street on Monday, the police said. In a slight collision with a tram, it is said to have gained additional momentum. After about 100 meters, the vehicle then caught and crushed the pedestrian.
The 23-year-old woman died at the scene of the accident despite quick medical help. The criminal police began investigations to see why the parked car could start rolling. The accident happened just a kilometer from Prague Castle, one of the most important sights in the Czech capital.
