The existing local railway runs daily between Salzburg and Lamprechtshausen (S1) every half hour and between Salzburg and Ostermiething (S11) every hour. According to the transport service contract, the S11 to Ostermiething is compressed every half hour from Monday to Friday during peak traffic times.
This year around 144,000 kilometers of timetable will be provided in the Innviertel, thanks to additional connections, this is an increase of 11,000 kilometers. Further increases are planned. The Salzburg local railway is very busy. “The Ostermiething connection is an attractive connection to public transport in the direction of Salzburg for the entire region,” says Ostermiething’s Mayor Gerhard Holzner.
