The 18-year-old and the 17-year-old, both from Marchtrenk, agreed to meet shortly after 2 a.m. on January 14 in the forecourt of a large disco in St. Martin for a scuffle. The two hit each other with their fists. After a hit, the 17-year-old seriously injured his hand. An acquaintance of the two, also a 17-year-old from Marchtrenk, wanted to settle the argument and hugged the 18-year-old from behind. However, he tore himself free and hit the 17-year-old in the face. The opponents then continued the brawl. But since the 17-year-old could no longer use his hand, he attacked the 18-year-old with kicks. A kick made the 18-year-old flinch, after another kick he fell to the ground and was seriously injured, according to the police.
Even before the security service arrived, the 17-year-old fled with friends in a car towards Wels. In Wels he was treated in the clinic, citing a fall at home as the cause of the injury. The 18-year-old was found by the security service and given first aid, after which he was taken to the Rohrbach Clinic by ambulance. Police investigations have revealed the names of those involved.
