The final result of the Lower Austrian state election is now available. The changes compared to the preliminary result announced on the evening of January 29 are minimal. There were only 503 valid votes that were cast on Sunday in “foreign” constituencies. The voting shares of some parties changed in the tenth range.
After counting the absentee ballots by the district electoral authorities, the ÖVP came to 39.93 percent, the FPÖ to 24.19 and SPÖ to 20.65 percent. The Greens received 7.59 percent of the votes, NEOS 6.67 percent. The mandate levels are unchanged compared to Sunday with 23 ÖVP, 14 FPÖ, 12 SPÖ, 4 Greens and 3 NEOS. The KPÖ (0.38 percent), MFG (0.49 percent) and ZIEL (0.10 percent) did not make it into the state parliament.
922,253 of the 1,288,838 eligible voters cast votes, 899,837 were valid. Voter turnout increased by exactly 5.00 percentage points compared to the 2018 election to 71.56 percent including voting cards.
