A 21-year-old Turkish woman from Linz drove her car in Neuhofen/Krems (district Linz-Land) on Kremstalstraße in the direction of Haid around 8 p.m. A 20-year-old Turkish woman from Traun was sitting in the passenger seat. At the same time, a 36-year-old from Neuhofen drove his car in the opposite direction.
In the curve area at Dambach 29 (permissible speed 50 km/h), the 21-year-old came into the oncoming lane and collided with the Neuhofener’s car. The police assume that the girl was traveling too fast. Both cars were thrown into the adjacent green area, where they stopped.
All three involved were seriously injured in the collision. They had to be cared for by the Red Cross and were then admitted to the Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic or the Kepler University Clinic in Linz. Because of the serious injuries suffered by the 21-year-old, an alcohol test could not be carried out on site. More investigations will follow in this regard, according to the police.
Severe damage was caused to both vehicles.
