Everyone has the resuscitation tool with them – their own hands. “A lot would be achieved if laypersons recognized cardiac arrest and then boldly began cardiac massage,” says Orlob. You don’t need to know much: “Call 911, press hard and fast in the center of your chest – at least 100 times per minute. If you have a defibrillator, turn it on and follow the instructions.”
