The Upper Austria Police Ball is finally returning to the Brucknerhaus in Linz on February 20th – after a three-year delay due to Corona. The traditional ball is taking place for the 70th time this year – under the motto Ireland. The Police Band has rehearsed Irish music for the opening, after which the Medley Folk Band provides Celtic music for the dance floor.

Wherever it says police, there is also police inside: almost every one of the numerous music groups that will entertain ball-goers will have an officer – or at least the son of a police officer.

The organizer uses the proceeds from the ball, which OÖN supports as a media partner, for its charitable projects: the Police Support Association of Upper Austria helps police officers, among other things, if they do not receive any bonuses for special services due to a long sick leave. The association also runs several cop stops in the country – places where police officers can eat at reasonable prices.

Ball tickets are available at these cop stops and at all Ö-Ticket sales points. The entrance fee is 25 euros, concessions 15 euros.
