Parents of school-age children in Freistadt can look forward to the summer holidays with a good feeling. With the exception of a few days, the municipal summer games will cover the entire summer vacation period. For the first time, care is provided separately for kindergarten children and school children. This means that holiday care can be organized specifically for the respective age group.
“The knowledge of having to bridge nine weeks of school holidays and a six-week kindergarten break can definitely give a family a headache. I am all the more pleased that we can offer all-encompassing childcare for all age groups this year,” says Karin Kolm (VP), city councilor responsible for kindergartens and schools. For children of kindergarten age, five weeks of holiday care are planned this year by the Upper Austrian aid organization in the Ginzkeystrasse kindergarten. School children are cared for in the music middle school over a period of seven weeks by the Upper Austrian aid organization.
