For enthusiastic cyclists, anglers and archers, there is no way around the trade fair city at the weekend. At the Wels trade fair trio with the bike and fishing festival and the archery fair, 160 exhibitors show all the new products and innovations for the new season. The OÖN are on board as media partners.

In Wels, for example, the bicycle manufacturer Hrinkow from Steyr is starting the trade fair season, which already makes half of its sales with e-bikes. “Our focus is on even lighter, high-quality carbon e-bikes that only weigh 15 or 16 kilos,” says Alexander Hrinkow. Company bike models will also be presented at the trade fair, which more and more companies are using as a treat for their employees and which can save more than a third of the costs. The employer leases bikes with or without an electric drive, which the employees can choose themselves and also use privately without restrictions.

For example, Hott Cycles from Tyrol is represented for the first time in Wels, a company founded in 2020, which has moved from the exhibition center in the heart of Upper Austria. affluent audience expected in central space. “We tailor the bikes individually to the riders and their technical skills and source as many components as possible from Austria,” says company boss Christoph Hotter.

Test course and lectures

At the trend fair for bicycles and electric bikes in exhibition hall 21, you can again test the various models extensively on several courses. The bike festival is rounded off with bike accessories, bike tourism offers, the Bikement Austrian Pumptrack Series and bike shows.

In Hall 20, archery enthusiasts will get their money’s worth with a 3D course, a wide range for beginners and professionals, and a series of lectures by well-known experts. In addition, the entire archery elite will be guests at the championship organized by the Austrian Archery Association in Wels.

Professional and hobby anglers can get valuable tips from experts from the predatory, carp and fly fishing scene, such as Stefan Seuß, at lectures and live demonstrations. In addition, the Austrian championship in fly tying will take place within the framework of the fair.

For the first time, Messe Wels is also offering the special topic “Survival & Outdoor”, which will also deal, among other things, with precautions in the event of a “blackout”.
