Former civil servant Matthias Pirklbauer made the residents of the Caritas location “invita” in Pfaffing very happy: he commissioned them to produce paper packaging for his fashion label “Bad Habit Clothing”, which he runs with his brother Peter.
“From my time doing community service, I know that it makes people proud and happy when they can be part of a project,” explains Pirklbauer, why he brought “invita” on board. In cooperation with the Caritas employees from the workshop, the Pirklbauer brothers designed environmentally friendly paper bags that serve as packaging for their clothing. The residents were then asked to cut out, fold and glue the paper bags. “It makes the residents proud to work for their Matthias,” says Alexandra Steiner, team leader of the ability-oriented activity “invita” in Paffing. There are currently 14 residents employed inside and outside the house. Depending on their interests and preferences, they can develop in various activities: in creative work, industrial work such as packaging and labelling, or also directly at a cooperation company such as the Neudorfer bakery in Vöcklamarkt or Schenker & Co AG in Ried.
