Turkey: the rescue among the rubble
A video published and broadcast through Twitter caught the attention of its users: the images show how a young man is rescued, who emerges from under the rubble after the help of family, friends and neighbors in the area.
As can be seen, the child is unharmed and in apparent good health after being rescued and receives hugs from his loved ones.
To contribute to the rescues, the European Comission announced that it will coordinate the dispatch of teams from Member States with the aim of finding survivors after the earthquake.
The Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarcic, announced that Brussels has activated the protocol, better known as EU Civil Protection Mechanism: “The Emergency Response Coordination Center is coordinating the deployment of rescue teams from Europe.”
