Grenade find at Bach
Half an hour before the discovery in Wels, a man in the Steyr-Land district had reported to the police: he had discovered a grenade on the banks of the Gaflenzbach in the municipality of Weyer. Police officers examined the war relic and informed the demining service, who identified it as a Russian throwable grenade, caliber eight centimeters, from World War II, recovered it and transported it away. According to the police, cordoning off measures were not necessary in this case due to the difficult access location.
