At first, the staging of the play “The True Jacob” in Kirchberg was not under a lucky star. After all, the rehearsals dragged on for months, then Corona thwarted the season. The theater group of the cultural community of Kirchberg ob der Donau was given an even greater honor: on the initiative of the regional association of amateur theaters, they were chosen to bring their production “The True Jakob” to the stage of the Linz State Theater (Kammerspiele). This is a great award for the entire ensemble, but also a challenge that one is happy to face. Therefore, all theater lovers are invited to come to Linz and indulge in the two-hour pleasure of comedy in the Kammerspiele; maybe because you haven’t seen it yet, or because you want to see the play a second time – this time in the atmosphere of the Landestheater.
The new interpretation of the play was developed and staged under the direction of Heinrich Pusch. The cultural community of Kirchberg received support from the well-known director and actor Joachim Rathke. When it comes to casting, a mix of established forces and young talents has been created for the Kirchberg theater ensemble.
