The stranger was driven to flee by the screams of the girl’s four-year-old sister and by two passers-by who rushed to help the siblings. Pertinent information was requested from the Mistelbach Police Inspectorate (Tel.: 059133-3260).
The man is said to have promised the girl sweets during the incident on January 30 at around 4 p.m. in the area of the Mitschastrasse – Haydnggasse intersection in the city in the Weinviertel if she came with him. The perpetrator was described as being around 40 to 50 years old and around 1.85 meters tall. He is said to have short brown hair, dark eyes and a conspicuously long nose. The man wore a black down jacket and a black cap with white writing. The police said in a broadcast that he was probably driving a white/grey car with sliding side doors in the rear area.
