Both children were taken to the hospital, the NTV broadcaster reported on Thursday. Pictures showed the brothers being wrapped in thermal blankets and carried away. Rescuers in Kahramanmaras province first heard voices and then focused their work on the collapsed building under which the brothers were buried.
There was also good news from Hatay province on Thursday: Three people were rescued alive from under the rubble after 84 hours, according to the state news agency Anadolu.
The rescue workers are fighting against time: After more than three days and the guideline value of 72 hours, which a person can actually get by without water at most, the hope of further survivors is lost.
