Outshined by its big brother, the avant-garde model is underestimated. A design like a work of art, noble and high quality anyway. Now the British have refined the Velar of the 2024 model year.
A redesigned radiator grille including new, narrow pixel LED headlights at the front, a redesigned bumper at the rear, new taillights with 3D optics and more black – that’s it with the optical retouching.
Technically more happened. In the previously mentioned pixel LED headlights, three times more LEDs light up than in matrix systems, which means that sub-areas can be illuminated more precisely – keyword: glare-free high beam. Range Rover uses four pixel modules, each with 67 controllable LEDs.
Curved touch screen
The touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard has grown to 11.4 inches, the surface is now slightly curved and anti-glare, say the British. The infotainment menu received small tweaks.
If you like, you can order the Velar with leather-free equipment. Then wool and polyurethane are used. Incidentally, the material is 58 percent lighter than cowhide. There are four new colors to choose from for the leather interior: Cloud, Caraway, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet.
Range Rover offers three drives: a plug-in hybrid with 404 hp and an electric range of 64 kilometers, two petrol engines (250 and 400 hp) and two diesel engines (204 and 300 hp).
The Range Rover Velar model year 2024 can be ordered now. Starting price: 77,742 euros (D200) or 81,386 euros (P400e).
