US shot down flying object over Alaska

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Friday afternoon in Washington that the object was shot down over the state of Alaska. It flew at an altitude of around 40,000 feet (12,192 meters) and therefore endangered civilian air traffic, Kirby said.

The object was the size of a small car, smaller than the Chinese balloon that was shot down over the Atlantic by the US military after a day-long flight over the United States. According to Kirby, he cannot yet say anything about the origin of the flying object that has now been shot down.
