When they joke about politicians who break their promises, BHCC carnival president Walter Kober and program director Toni Bartak have to take it by the nose. Before yesterday’s premiere of the Bad Hall carnival sessions in the Jahnturnhalle, the two had claimed to avoid evils such as Corona and Russia’s war against Ukraine and “just to entertain”. With all the adversity, people need a few hours of break with cheerfulness and cheerfulness.
Luckily, for the most part anyway, the carnivalists didn’t stick to it after all. Word acrobat Leopold Waldl loosened up the tense soul caused by the corona pandemic with a diaphragmatic massage. In a banquet song he corrupted it “lockdown” for the overdue haircut “Lock down” at the hairdresser’s “Capital of Traction Engines – Lok Town”. The man belongs as a cabaret artist on the big stages and on television, which has already happened with the St. Peter comedian Walter Kammerhofer.

50 years Bad Hall Carnival Club
Because the Bad Hall Carneval Club (BHCC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary, a compilation of the best sketches was beamed onto the screen, where you can see Kammerhofer as the Vienna Boys’ Choir with the strict Professor Anton Bartak on a video from 2012. That was the only stage appearance of the program director Bartak, a flash in the pan, in terms of acting performance a dragonfly. “I prefer to do the legwork for the sketches and especially for the musical numbers”he revealed modestly.

During the performance of the ensemble “six pack” (Manuela Burghuber, Richard Füßlberger, Sonja Füßlberger, Andreas Gökler, Doris Schlattl and Daniel Schneider) the suggestions paid off. “You’re stupid and I’m smart, with every marker we fleece the people” became the “Hofer”- Promotional pop song rewritten as a fun and thoughtful song sequence about shopping sprees and bargain hunting. bottom line: “There is enough toilet paper. So only buy what you need!”

Ingrid Mager and Silvia Mori covered the subject of parody with the “old sparrows” with their 1423rd episode of “Sylvia is cooking” off, where they really hit Silvia Schneider’s cooking TV show. Of course, leftovers were used for the jokes, and some punch lines were thawed out of the freezer. It was always funny and the imitation simply delicious.

“Pompfu boar” Ernst Sieghartsleitner, on the other hand, served a bite that lay tough between the chewing tools. The classic handmade speaker, who was always a sign of quality at the Bad Hall carnival, had ventured onto a minefield in the humorous treatise on the war in Ukraine and mentally stepped on a booby trap. He rhymed that while President Van der Bellen “sharpens the knife”itself “who uses Kickl for peace”. That may have been meant to be satirical, but Vladimir Putin couldn’t have asked for a better one for the Kremlin’s propaganda “rocket” can let rise. Such an expression of applause – stamping with the feet, clapping and cheering – Sieghartsleitner earned afterwards – “Da Stelzer moves on the border to artificial intelligence”– again with a verse to the always meticulously prepared appearances of the governor.
Carnival “changed” not
Fredi Gegenhuber contributed “What’s new?” the gender at the top. The “snowman” became “snow creature”the zodiac sign of Taurus “Cow” and the “Indian summer” for the “women’s autumn”. You can also exaggerate correctness, in carnival that’s really something to laugh about.
