Around 11 a.m., the Linz professional fire brigade was called to the fire in an apartment on the first floor of an apartment building on Ottensheimer Straße in Linz-Urfahr. In the course of the extinguishing work, the emergency services found a 72-year-old woman who they were able to take out of the apartment – but all attempts at resuscitation came too late.
The firefighting itself went quickly, but the apartment was an old building and tricky, which is why it took a long time before you could get to the woman, reports the operations manager of the professional fire brigade Linz, Markus Jauck. The remaining residents of the house were warned or escorted out of the house.
