On the other hand, the export of tops increased by 2.6% in volume – with a sale of more than 1.3 million kilos – but fell by 15% in turnover – with more than $6.1 million –. Among the main importers of wool were Italy with 25% and China with 18%. The largest importation of dirty wool was by China with 63% and in second place Bulgaria with 25%. As for washed wool, the main buyer was the India with 34% who follows USA with 23%. Finally, regarding the export of tops, the main buyer was Italy with 41% of the total sold and followed by Germany in second place with 20%.
If the exports of 2022 are compared with 2021, these fell by 8% Regarding their prices in dollars, since last year 161.5 million dollars were obtained, while in 2021 sales were 175 million dollars.
