Pupils of the 3ci class of elementary school 4 Pernau were very affected after the devastating earthquake that devastated entire cities in Turkey and Syria in the early morning hours of February 6th. The children wanted to immediately help people affected by homelessness and in need of food, water and hygiene items.
With the support of class teacher Lea Zukic, the students organized a snack sale for the whole school – and it was a complete success. The snack buffet was stormed by numerous girls and boys as well as teachers and the willingness to donate was great. In this way, a total of 1400 euros was collected. The money was immediately handed over to the “Neighbors in Need” foundation and the Red Cross, where it will be used for on-site help. The students are very proud of the success of their project and happy that they can help the people of Turkey and Syria.
