Pictures by the only 20-year-old artist Lorena Eisenmann-Strobl can be seen as part of an exhibition by the cultural association “Kultur in Gstaig” in the Gasthaus Maria vom Guten Rat in Feldkirchen near Mattighofen. The opening is tomorrow, February 16, at 7 p.m., Lorena Eisenmann-Strobl will be accompanied by her sister Adelheid on the electric piano.
Lorena’s pictures reflect moments in her life and her feelings, which she captures with colored pencils, acrylic paints and watercolors. The pictures that were taken in the first phase of the corona lockdown have completely different symbolism. This was a difficult time for Lorena. “I felt imprisoned, wasn’t allowed to go to school, couldn’t do an internship. Luckily I had my pencils and paints, so I found peace in painting.”
Lorena Eisenmann-Strobl owes her inspiration for painting to her grandfather Josef Zeis, who died two years ago. He inspired her to draw as a child and who is still her role model: “My grandfather had a diary in which I discovered many great drawings However, he never went public with it, his talent was a family secret,” says Lorena.
She lives out her creativity not only when painting, but also in her job. As a florist, she has now found her dream job. With the picture exhibition by Lorena Eisenmann-Strobl and the accompanying musical performance by Adelheid Eisenmann-Strobl, the “Culture in Gstaig” association is deliberately bringing young, unknown artists from the region to the front of the curtain.
“We want to show that there is talent everywhere who deserves a chance and encourage everyone to become artistically active themselves,” says chairman Wolfgang Reindl. “In this case, the young talents are direct neighbors of Maria vom Guten Rat – and that’s why we’re already looking forward to many interested guests at this extraordinary vernissage.” The pictures by Lorena Eisenmann-Strobl can be seen in the guest rooms of Maria vom Guten Rat until mid-April – and can be purchased. For each work sold, the artist donates five euros to the Feldkirchen fire brigade.
