On Tuesday around 9 p.m., the nurses noticed that the resident with dementia was not in his room. A large contingent of emergency services, including several police patrols, the Traun fire brigade and the rescue service, searched for the missing person with the help of dogs and drones. After they had not found anything inside the care center and in the surrounding area, a patrol by the standby unit was successful around 11:40 p.m. near the PlusCity shopping center in Pasching. The 88-year-old was in the area of the tram tracks, reports the state police department. He was slightly hypothermic but unharmed.
