France proposes to extend the health passport until July 2022

The health passport is mandatory from the boreal summer in France in places that host more than 50 people, as well as in bars, restaurants, hospitals and large shopping centers.

Its application unleashed a wave of weekly protests, which in recent times was losing strength but that this Saturday brought together some 45,000 people in the 13th consecutive week of demonstrations.

Although its extension seeks to encourage the fourth of the French who have not yet completed their immunization schedule to be vaccinated, the political opposition in France denounced its duration, six months before the presidential election in April.

Citizens of France can obtain the document if they are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus or with a negative test.

As of Friday, this test will be paid for those who are not immunized.
