As a spokesman for the Braunau district fire department said when asked by OÖN, a fire broke out in a farm building around 8 p.m. Alert level two was declared and around 100 helpers arrived. A respiratory protection team was also deployed.
As reported by the district fire brigade command, the residential building and stables were saved from the flames, and the outbuilding was severely damaged by the fire.
According to the spokesman for the Braunau fire brigade, people and animals were not harmed. The post-extinguishing work will probably continue throughout the night.
