Currently, drinking water is supplied to families in the municipalities of Aguas Corrientes (4), Atlántida (15), Canelones (82), Los Cerrillos (34), Empalme Olmos (32), La Floresta (3), Las Piedras (6), Migues (41), Montes (1), Pando (15), Progreso (9), Salinas (1), San Antonio (24), San Bautista (26), San Jacinto (44), San Ramón (5), Santa Lucía (5), Santa Rosa (28), Sauce (87), Soca (16), Suárez (3) and Tala (32).
The alarms that exist in the country due to lack of water
Last week the board of SBI resolved to “prohibit” the non-essential use of water in Montevideo and cannelloni –including the Gold Coast–, and in lavalleja, Cologne, Florida, Saint Joseph and Soriano. “OSE has urged the population to responsibly consume drinking water, with the aim of minimizing non-priority uses,” said the official statement from the board, which detected consumption very close to the limit in recent weeks in the country’s capital.
