In addition to the significant increase in the volume of skim milk powder (1,234 tons sold), shipments of whole milk powder climbed to 15,694 tons shippedthose of cheeses 28% after boats of 2,087 tons, while the packages of butter registered a negative variation of the -17% with 1,675 tons.
Average prices fell month-on-month
The average prices per ton were at $3,735 for whole powdered milk, $3,770 for skimmed powdered milk, $5,060 for cheese, and $5,346 for butter, interannual variations of 3%, 23%, 15%, and 15%, respectively. In turn, with the exception of whole powdered milk that rose slightly, all prices fell slightly compared to December 2022.
The main destinations of total exports were Brazil in a 31%, Algeria by 22%, China by 9%, Russia with 4%, Argentina in 3%, while the sum of other countries totaled 31%. The country that received the most both types of powdered milk and cheese was Brazil, while Russia was the main destination for butter.
