With around 13,000 items for sale, the children’s goods bazaar in Aspach is one of the largest in the region; this year the second-hand market is taking place in Gasthof Danzer. Special feature: Pregnant women and parents of children up to one year old can come earlier and shop in peace. There is also a remaining number exchange for the first time this year.
On 24 February from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. and on 25 February from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., prams, toys, books, children’s clothing, shoes, maternity clothing, child car seats, useful items for breastfeeding or for making baby food yourself and much more will be sold. The waiting list for numbers for those willing to sell is traditionally long, but a new remaining number exchange should increase the chances this year.
“We always have the case that individual salespeople are absent at short notice, due to illness or because of a conflicting appointment. This is of course annoying and those who are on the waiting list would have liked to have gotten the number, but by then it is usually too late. That’s why we created the stock number exchange this year, with which the remaining stock can still be called up immediately after the regular salespeople have closed their registrations,” says Karin Gaisbauer, who organizes the children’s goods bazaar together with the Aspach mothers’ group.
Also new this year is the special sale for pregnant women and parents of children up to one year old. On Friday, you can shop one hour before the official start of sales by presenting your mother-child pass, thereby avoiding the crowds. The Aspacher children’s goods bazaar is extremely popular. “We require our vendors to only have merchandise for sale that is in good condition. This means that games must be complete, clothing must be spotless and free of holes or missing buttons. We also take great care that there is no outdated merchandise or Promotional items are offered for sale. If someone violates this, that’s it and you won’t get a number at the next bazaar,” says Gaisbauer.
The Aspach mothers’ group ensures that buyers do not experience any nasty surprises. The crowd is correspondingly large. Any remaining proceeds will be donated.
