In the past ten years as chairman of the Mühlviertler Waldhaus association, Heinrich Graser has experienced the full range of official activities, from great successes to challenging setbacks. It was now time for him to resign from his position at the General Assembly and symbolically pass the baton on to his successor, Anita Fleischanderl.
In his review of the past few years, Graser repeatedly emphasized the good cooperation with other clubs and the good cohesion within the club. For example, the checkout service in the Green Belt Center would not be possible without the volunteers. Visibly surprised, but very pleased, Heinrich Graser thanked him for his unanimous appointment as honorary chairman. He even missed the words for a moment, which is not otherwise known from him.
The Mühlviertler Waldhaus association was founded in 1972 to build and maintain the Mühlviertler Waldhaus. This was rebuilt in 2014 and expanded to become what is now the Green Belt Center. Heinrich Graser is the association’s second honorary chairman after Josef Czernin-Kinsky.
“Heinz Graser is the good soul of the Mühlviertler Waldhaus association. We are therefore very grateful that he continues to support us with help and advice,” said Anita Fleischanderl in recognition of her predecessor. In the future, the new chairman Anita Fleischanderl and her team want to work primarily for the preservation and revitalization of the Hofwieshammer in Felberbachstraße. This is the club’s main goal. In order to create the financial possibilities for this, a blacksmith’s festival will be organized this summer, among other things.
