The Viennese professional fire brigade confirmed to the APA media reports that it was used in Dr.-Otto-Neurath-Gasse. Those responsible had already evacuated the visitors before the emergency services arrived, and according to the information there were no injuries.
After the organizers noticed the development of smoke, they also began to fight the flames in the basement on their own. The fire brigade then took over with an extinguishing line and wearing respiratory protection. Due to the many visitors, alarm level 2 was given, 17 vehicles and 70 emergency services were deployed. After around 90 minutes, smoke extraction from the extensive basement area was completed.
