Stöcher (51) was born in Linz and studied medicine in Graz. “For me, the circle is now complete, since I have already completed my regular training in what was then the state hospital in Kirchdorf,” says the primary doctor and is looking forward to returning.

After training as a general practitioner, Stöcher completed his training as a specialist in trauma surgery at what was then the AKH Linz – today the Kepler University Hospital (KUK). During his work he completed an additional subject in sports traumatology. He also worked as an emergency doctor for a total of 15 years at several bases in Upper Austria, including one in Kirchdorf. He has been a specialist in the new field of orthopedics and traumatology since 2018. Harald Stöcher lives in Micheldorf with his wife and two children. At home, he finds his balance mainly by working with wood and, after training as a skilled forest worker, manages his own forest. Stöcher is taking over the management of the trauma surgery department from Robert Pehn, who is retiring.
