The agreement involves offering foreigners who enter the country as of November 1 both third doses for adults and first doses for children under 18 years of age, the official explained.
“It is one more service that will be offered to tourists”, Viera stressed, according to the Public Media portal and the newspaper El Observador.
Viera clarified that the issue must be analyzed by Lacalle Pou with the Ministry of Public Health to define the details of its implementation.
Out of a population of 3,543,025 inhabitants, Uruguay had 2,748,988 (77.59%) vaccinated today with at least the first dose, 2,602,364 (73.45%) also with two doses and 1,104,992 with one reinforcement, according to the Vaccination Monitor on the website of the Ministry of Public Health.
Thus, 6,456,344 doses were already applied in the country, at a rate of 182.23 per 100 inhabitants.
