“I have dyslexia and it takes me longer to read. So school was hell for me. They didn’t care how I was doing,” says Nicole. OÖN TV met her at the association for social and community projects in Linz Spallerhof.
There she sits in the “Kick” course several times a week. Young people are supported there in their search for an apprenticeship, job or apprenticeship. “We write applications, learn how to use the phone properly and we are responded to,” says the woman from Linz. “It would mean a lot to me if I found an apprenticeship. I just don’t want to sit in the office. That would be too boring for me.” In an interview with OÖN TV, she describes how it feels not to conform to the norm:
