WASHINGTON, March 14 (Reuters) – Amazon plans to start launching its first service-ready Internet satellites into space in the first half of 2024 and offer the first commercial trials shortly thereafter, the company said on Tuesday.

“We will definitely beta testing commercial customers in 2024,” Dave Limp, Amazon’s head of devices, said at a conference in Washington.
Amazon will go into mass production of the satellites at the end of the year, after it first launches a couple of prototypes around next month.
