In March, the heating technology specialist Hargassner, headquartered in Weng im Innkreis, took over the Polish industry leader for biomass boilers and heat pumps “HT Heiztechnik” with 150 employees as the majority owner. The company is based in Skarszewy in northern Poland and will be integrated into the Hargassner group of companies.

After taking over the Polish entrepreneur Rakoczy Stal two years ago, Hargassner is continuing to push ahead with its expansion in Eastern Europe.

HT Heiztechnik was founded in 2007 by Polish engineers Zdzislaw Kulpan and Radoslaw Silkowski with the aim of producing the best heaters in Poland. The company is now a modern manufacturer that offers biomass boilers with an output of 3.9 kW to 7 MW, heat pumps and other heating devices. Target groups are both private and industrial companies. Production is state-of-the-art with laser cutting machines, automatic press brakes and robot-controlled welding stations. In 2010 the production of pellet boilers was started. These are now the main product of HT Heiztechnik. The company currently has around 6,000 square meters of production space. The offer includes a wide range of products that are in demand in Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Moldova and Hungary.

The Innviertler Hargassner Group is now a global player in biomass heating technology and employs around 1100 people. The export rate is more than 70 percent, deliveries are made to 43 countries worldwide. The company HT Heiztechnik, which has now been taken over, with around 150 employees, all of whom will be taken over, will remain an independent company and continue to appear under its previous brand. No information is given about the purchase price.

“The focus of the integration is on the growth of biomass in the Eastern European market. We see an important milestone for our company in the market for renewable energies when it comes to biomass in connection with heat pumps,” say Hargassner managing directors Markus and Anton Hargassner. The aim is to integrate HT Heiztechnik smoothly into the organization and to continue to process the current order situation without delay for the customers.
