The Steinbach Black Wings tackle the away game at HCB Südtirol with fewer personnel. The Linzers have to do without the goal scorers of four of the five goals scored so far. Emilio Romig is out with suspension for batting Ryan Culkin, Shawn St-Amant with a lower body injury. Michael Haga traveled to Bolzano yesterday with the Linzers, but whether he will actually play will be decided at short notice.

Head coach Philipp Lukas before yesterday’s departure for Bolzano:

From a sporting point of view, the series is completely open again after the 2:2 equalization through the foxes’ victory on Tuesday. Whoever wins two of the maximum three games first is in the semi-finals. On Sunday they proved that Linz can win away from home. Philipp Lukas therefore speaks of “not a bad starting position”. More on that in the interview above.

Defender Ramon Schnetzer in an interview:

Today could be the last home game of the season for the foxes. And even if the momentum should be on the South Tyrolean side after the 5-1 win in Linz, the pressure is still on today’s hosts. “They picked us, the pressure is on them,” Linzers agree.

Outside, read our comeback blog by Gerd Kragl, who has excellent news to report:

We also recommend the icebreaker podcast, which is currently all about the 20th anniversary of Linz’s first championship title. The next episode with Markus Peintner is already in the editing process and will be available soon. But first the episode with Christian Perthaler:
