Nehammer promises Selenskyj further support

“As a neutral country, we cannot and will not provide military support, but what we can do is provide humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the people in Ukraine and to treat seriously injured women and children in Austria,” Nehammer said in a phone call Zelenskyj.

So far, more than 30 patients – especially wounded women and children – have been brought to Austria and treated. Some of them have already fully recovered and returned to Ukraine, said the chancellor, adding that to date around 130 million euros have flowed from Austria to the war-torn country. Selenskyj expressly thanked the Chancellor for his extensive support. Further cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid was also agreed.
