The Rotary Club Kremsmünster supports the Rotkreuz market in the monastery with vouchers worth a total of 5000 euros to finance everyday goods. Customers who are particularly affected by inflation can thus shop more cheaply.
Originally founded in 2016 as the “Tassilo” social market in Kremsmünster, today 38 employees support this social project in their free time. Asylum seekers also worked right from the start, which means that the Red Cross market makes a significant contribution to integration, says the district coordinator and head of social services, Monika Felbermayr. Up to a certain income limit, those affected can apply for a purchase authorization at the market town office in Kremsmünster, regardless of whether they live in the village or in the neighboring communities of Kematen, Rohr, Sattledt, Wartberg or Ried im Traunkreis.
As early as 2020, the Rotary Club Kremsmünster supported the purchase of a small truck with what was then 10,000 euros.
