Former German goalscorer Klose was released yesterday, Monday. Steirer Schmidt will take over as coach in Rheindorf until the end of the season. Schmidt was last engaged at TSV Hartberg. The 55-year-old took office at the beginning of March last year and played a key role in staying up. His record in 27 games: six wins, seven draws and 14 defeats. In November, the amicable separation with the East Styrians followed.
Schmidt and the Vorarlbergers are now seeing each other again: The former Sky analysis expert was already on the sidelines in Altach from June 2017 to June 2018.
